Description

An industrial laundry is for sale, with three years of operation, located in Galicia, serving the areas of Lugo, Ourense, and the entire Camino de Santiago. It currently operates at full capacity, handling up to 2,000 kg daily in a single shift.

The equipment includes five washers of various sizes, three dryers, two wall calenders, a delivery van, and auxiliary materials such as carts and a bagging machine. Gas, electricity, and diesel consumption are low, and the premises have a competitive rental price compared to local rates.

The staff consists of four permanent employees throughout the year, with additional support of up to four people during peak season. The supervisor is well-versed in both the clients' garments and the machinery's operation.

In 2024, the revenue was €280,000 (main activity of industrial laundry, with corporate tax applied). The annual profit exceeds €70,000. A reduction in expenses is estimated compared to the previous year (€200,000), partly due to the stabilization of operations. Estimated additional income: €80,000.

The income per kilogram of washed clothing is €1.30 (standard clients) and €0.92 (volume clients). The total cost per kilogram of washed clothing is €0.75.

The business primarily focuses on renting clothing for hotels and hostels along the Camino de Santiago. Each garment is washed once every three days, with a lifespan of 300 washes (approximately three years). The operational flow is based on three cycles of clothing: in use, in transit, and clean.

The client portfolio includes 60 clients, of which between 25 and 29 are active. Some clients were dropped for not being financially viable, although they could return. The main wholesaler accounts for 60% of the revenue. The clientele is stable and non-seasonal (hotels and eateries active year-round). Currently, the number of clients is being reduced without losing total volume of kilograms.

The business has limited online presence, with a Facebook page. Each time a post is made, more demand is received than can be handled. Daily activity varies between 1,200 and 1,900 kg.

The Holy Year 2026 represents a period of high demand, following the pattern of previous years. There is competition in Santiago, but in Lugo and Ourense, there is room for growth due to low market saturation.

The owner is a civil servant in a municipality and owns other self-service laundries. He has suffered a heart attack, which is the main reason for the sale. He is not seeking profit, only to recover the investment. The asking price is €250,000. He is willing to accept €150,000 in cash and the remainder under deferred payment conditions and guarantees.

The company has a credit of €100,000 and a policy of €50,000. Both the owner and the supervisor are willing to assist during a transition period, providing contacts and operational knowledge.
